Our intention today is to offer you an itinerary you can follow with your eyes closed, should you feel like visiting us soon. 10:30 am Start the day with an exhibition at the Musée du Luxembourg. Surrealist artist Leonora Carrington is currently being celebrated there. 11:30 am On your way out, take a stroll through the Jardin du Luxembourg, where queens stand on pedestals and fine-feathered creatures wander by. The Luxembourg Garden, a favorite lunch break spot of the Bourgine girls Greetings to Mrs. Sand Look out for the mandarin duck that has taken up residence in the pond. Its plumage leaves one quite spellbound. 12:30 pm Make your way to the perfect bookshop, The Red Wheelbarrow, run by Pénélope, a loyal Bourgine customer — though that is hardly her only virtue. 1 pm For lunch, we recommend Caroline's canteen, or Localino, where we like to celebrate special occasions. 2:30 pm It is now time to head to 15 rue Racine. On the way, you may well come across passers-by dressed in Bourgine. A chance encounter with Martine, out for a stroll in her Parade trousers Norma awaits you The lady of the house in her own domain The Bourginettes at work After fittings, conversations, and purchases, a break at Café Maa or Saint Pearl is in order. Be sure to take a moment to admire the beautiful Musée de Cluny To stack the odds in your favor, follow an age-old Sorbonne student ritual and rub Montaigne’s foot... ...before ending the day at the cinema with a classic. Take your pick: the Champo or the Filmo. This highly subjective itinerary complements the favorite addresses we have gathered in our Paris Guide. PRINTED GUIDE A friend of Caroline’s created an interactive version and has kindly agreed to share it with the world. Thank you, Ailsa!
