December starts tomorrow. Here at 15 rue Racine, we're slowly getting into the holiday spirit. Père Nono is getting ready for his big comeback. He's making his first appearance today, inviting you to place your orders sooner rather than later if you’d like to gift us for Christmas 2025.
But first, we’re going wrap up our Anniversary Month in a proper way. Like any artwork, our Bourgine de 1 à 10 movie is teaming with references. This letter is a tribute to them.
— We borrowed the terrifying introductory “Good evening” and the idea of a tour of 15 rue Racine from Hitchcock Presents, especially theBates Motel in Psychose (thanks to our photographer Julia for the lightbulb).
— Typographic and title-sequence inspiration kindly lent by Mr. Godard.
— Sabrina the Teenage Witch: our talkative Norma is a nod to his distant cousin Salem, 90s small-screen icon.
Bonus: the debut as an actress-director of one of the protagonists, circa 2004.
As for the rest, Caroline has left Paris for a little while to head across the Atlantic. She’s sharing a few ideas for your own potential trip and is getting back today to take on Xmas orders.
