This week's report - September 21, 2025

This week, the Bulletin ventures beyond the walls of 15 rue Racine with a classic exercice de style: the apartment tour. Welcome to Caroline (and Norma)’s home.
Bienvenue

For a long time, the two companions lived above 15 rue Racine, like old-timey shopkeepers. Three years ago, they left their familiar 6th arrondissement behind and moved into a 1970s building in the 18th, near Lamarck.

When they signed, their new home looked like this:

The previous owners had spent over 50 years in the apartment, which they had bought off-plan in the 1960s.

The vision :

The Bourgine family — the subject’s father, mother and sister — rolled up their sleeves and transformed the space in just a few months.

A few before-and-afters:
For the bathroom, Caroline took inspiration from Le Corbusier's shower in Boulogne, and then spent 12 hours grouting hers.
